Interview of Gaël: I want to live of my passion!

Critic @: Did Gaël, this new album, you for a long time have it in the head?
Gaël Garcia: Yes since a good moment, already. You know, I compose since the 16 years age (note: he has some 23). There, I wanted to divide what I had done.

Critic @: It is murmured that it will be entirely in Spanish (what charms us at the most point). Is it a language easier to sing than French?
Gaël Garcia: Easier to sing, I could not say. For me, it is natural. You know, I have Spanish origins. My grandfather was Aragonese and was locked up with the Camp of Gurs, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Me, that comes me like that, naturally. The words leave in Spanish. I compose and I sing in this language. If not, I smell myself very near to the artists gipsies, of course.

Critic @: How do you think that your album will be accomodated by the public? Do you believe that one still will leave you the good old woman labels Star ac?
Gaël Garcia: I know that the album is awaited by much. I have a site which was assembled by my fans: www.gaelgarcia.fr They are sensational, and you know, they were more than 750.000 visitors. As for the label Star ac, yes, it is inevitable that one speaks to me about it. I believe that is with me to remove the label now, here all. But you know, Jenifer and Olivia Ruiz had also the label, and look at now, they were done by themselves.

Critic @: Precisely since one speaks about the Star ac, do you think what of the figures of TV rating which going down?
Gaël Garcia: Very honestly? I do not have time to follow the Star ac. I fell one or twice above by chance, good... (to smile) But I kept bonds, with Raphie, for example, we have sent a mall of time to other. There, we wished oneself the good year, here. But if not, I do not look at. I carry on my way, I would like to live so much of my passion. It is that which is important.

Critic @: Let us return to your album, when it will be available in the vats? What does it bring of different, according to you, musicalement?
Gaël Garcia: The French exit is thus envisaged between the 15 and on May 30. We did not decide yet on a final title. At the beginning, I wanted that it is called Flamenco Pop, but I reflected. Where was it seen that an artist gives to his album the title of his style of music? Kind: Thingummy leaves his album entitled Variétés. Not! Then I still hesitate. I was surrounded of six excellent musicians, and we recorded with the Manoir des Landes. The distributor will be Mosaïc Music in Toulouse. I profited from a total artistic freedom, it is well. I believe that what it brings of different or again, it is this mixture of the kinds. The guitar rumba with a rhythmic disco music, and the light side the pop one. My rhythmic comes from different universes. In fact, I am able to listen to El Barrio as well, as Gipsy Kings, U2, Sade, M, Jamiroquaï or Cock Robin...

If not, I will be in concert with Rion des Landes on April 20, and will make a Parisian scene end may/begining June.

Small secrecies moreover:
- He is of a timid naturalness, but the experiment Star ac and the scene in general helped him with "no timid"
- He draws, of the mangas inter alia.
- He likes to be with the buddies
- There will be two recoveries in his album, but chut, we leave you the surprise!

What Critic @ had not said to you:
- We like Gaël at Critic@. Why?
- Firstly, because he brokes of the Star ac and never lets anything move away it from what he believed good for him.
- Deuxio, because he is South, "pardi".
- Thirdly, because he is nice like all and is not caught the head. Euh, quatro: because his dad Alberto is super sympathetic too.
